Job Description
- Oversee apparel and accessories merchandise planning for Malaysia and Singapore, ensuring alignment with SEA strategies across wholesale, retail, and e-commerce channels.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences to optimize product assortments and drive business growth.
- Work closely with APAC and SEA teams, as well as Footwear Merchandising and Demand Planning, to align regional strategies and forecast demand accurately.
- Track and report sell-in and sell-through performance, attend merchandise meetings, and provide insights on key KPIs to improve merchandising effectiveness.
- Develop and present seasonal merchandise assortments, pricing strategies, and product launches, supporting sales teams with necessary GTM materials.
- Manage sample orders, inline range preparation, and key account range sell-ins, ensuring proper segmentation and distribution planning.
- Assist retail and e-commerce teams with merchandise planning to drive growth, enhance product positioning, and meet commercial objectives.
- Maintain product data, costing sheets, and SKU information while participating in WIP meetings and regional sales conferences.
The Successful Applicant
- At least 5-7 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in apparel and accessories, and a Bachelor's degree in Business or an equivalent field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to drive strategic merchandising decisions.
- Experienced in end-to-end merchandising, including assortment planning, forecasting, pricing strategies, and go-to-market execution.
- Effective communicator and collaborator, working closely with regional and cross-functional teams to align strategies and optimize product performance.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
- Agile and market-savvy, with a deep understanding of retail environments, competitor activities, and evolving consumer preferences.
