Job summary

Jora Malaysia is offering a Merchandising Intern role to gain hands-on experience in merchandise planning, inventory management, sales analysis, visual merchandising, and marketing campaigns.

You will work with experienced merchandising professionals to analyze performance, manage stock, and support promotional activities while developing practical skills in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in retail management, business, marketing, supply chain, fashion/textile or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing sales performance, product trends, and business reports.
• Monitor stock levels and support inventory planning across retail outlets.
• Track fast-selling and slow-moving products and assist in replenishment planning.
• Support visual merchandising (VM) execution to ensure stores comply with brand standards.
• Assist in coordinating promotional campaigns, product launches, and in-store marketing activities.
• Prepare sales, inventory, and merchandising reports using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Coordinate product samples, photoshoots, and merchandising materials.
• Work closely with Operations, Marketing, Purchasing, and Retail teams to support daily merchandising activities.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including invoice verification, data entry, and documentation.
• Contribute ideas to improve sales performance, customer experience, and merchandising effectiveness.
