Merchandising Executive or Senior Executive (Purchasing & Procurement)

• Lead the sourcing and purchasing of mobile phones, home appliances products, mobile accessories and extended insurance.

• Develop and implement strategic procurement plans that align with company goals and market trends.

• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns promptly.

• Stay updated on market trends, product releases, and industry developments.

• Analyse purchasing costs and work to minimize procurement expenses while maintaining product quality and availability.

• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers.

• Coordinate with internal teams to determine inventory needs and product requirements.

• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create compelling offers and campaigns.

• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.

• Forecast demand and ensure adequate stock levels to meet customer needs.

• Address any quality issues or product defects with suppliers in a timely manner.

• To undertake any other ad hoc assignments assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years and above of working experience in the related field.

• Have an excellent sense of marketing trends and the latest updates in mobile gadgets.

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to operate as a good team player.

• Able to work independently and work under pressure.

• Able to build rapports with suppliers, brand principals, and third parties.

• Able negotiate for the best pricing, stock quality, and support or resources from suppliers.
