Merchandising Executive | F&B Trading Leader | KL Full Time

Company overview

Our client is a Food & Beverage Trading Group, one of the largest food importer and distributor in the region with operations in Southeast Asia. Due to exciting plans to expand their business, they are seeking for seasoned Buyer Executives to join their dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur.

The new role

1. Implements the merchandising plans, product category strategies and manages partner relationships.
2. Contributes to the development and sourcing of the products according to the budget.
3. Responsible for planning and selecting a range product to sell in retail outlets.
4. Keeping up to date with market trends and competitor activity by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, collections, etc.
5. Analysing past sales figures/trends to anticipate future product needs.
6. Liaise with shop personnel to ensure product/collection supply meets demand.

Requirements to succeed

1. A Bachelor’s Degree holder in Business Management or any equivalent.
2. At least 2 year(s) of working experience in buying within the retail or supermarket industry.
3. High command of spoken and written English & proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia.
4. Dynamic, hands-on and committed to work long hours to deliver results.
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels.
6. Ensure that KPI and all tasks assigned and deliverables are completed as per the timeline; or earlier.
