- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability for B2B channels.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
Demand Forecasting:
- Analyze historical sales data and market trends to forecast demand accurately.
- Work with the sales and supply chain teams to develop and adjust demand forecasts.
- Use forecasting tools and techniques to improve accuracy and reliability.
- Analyze sales performance data to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance and inventory levels.
- Provide actionable insights to the merchandising and sales teams to optimize product assortments.
Collaboration with Supply Chain:
- Coordinate with the supply chain team to manage stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
- Work closely with the logistics team to track and manage incoming shipments.
- Address and resolve any supply chain issues that impact inventory availability.
Product Lifecycle Management:
- Assist in managing the product lifecycle from introduction to discontinuation.
- Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory, making recommendations for clearance or disposal.
- Collaborate with the product development team to ensure timely delivery of new products.
Systems and Process Improvement:
- Utilize inventory management software to maintain accurate records.
- Continuously review and improve inventory management processes and systems.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in inventory management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Merchandising, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in inventory management or merchandising, preferably within a B2B environment.
- Proven track record in managing inventory levels and forecasting demand.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
