About the role

We are seeking an experienced Merchandiser to join our dynamic team at Oji Asia Household Product Sdn Bhd (OAHP) in Shah Alam, Selangor. As a Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products are visually appealing and accessible to customers in retail stores. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.

What you'll be doing / Job Responsible :

Visiting assigned retail stores on a regular schedule to stock, organize and maintain product displays to assess product displays and stock levels

Communicating with store managers to understand their merchandising needs and requirements

Collaborating with store managers and teams to ensure effective product placement and presentation

Ensuring product placement, pricing and promotional materials are consistent with brand standards

Identifying and addressing any issues with stck levels, damaged goods or merchandising compliance

Providing feedback and recommendations to the sales team to improve in-store execution

Maintaining accurate records and reporting on store visits, activities and outcomes

Carry out merchandising tasks in designated business or territories, such as introducing product lines and marketing plans, taking orders, setting up promotional displays and managing in-store merchandising

Executing in-store merchandising activities such as replenishing stock, maintaining product arrangement and ensuring optimal visibility

Identifying opportunities to improve in-store execution and maximize sales

Gathering feedback and insights to inform product positioning and strategy

Maintaining accurate records and reporting on store compliance and sales data

What we're looking for / Job Requirement :

At least 2 years of experience as a retail merchandiser or in a similar sales support role

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently to tight deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with store personnel

Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task across multiple retail locations

Proficient in using mobile devices, retail management software, data analysis and reporting

A passion for retail and a customer-centric mindset

Physical ability to lift products and set up displays

Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle

Familiarity with the retail landscape in the Klang Valley region is preferred

Work Conditions :

Frequent travel between retail locations

Work may involve standing for long periods and light physical activity

Some weekend or evening work may be required during peak periods or special promotions
