Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Johor Bahru is seeking a QA/QC lead for MEP works on industrial and mission-critical facilities. You will develop the quality management plan, review ITPs and shop drawings, and supervise site inspections to ensure compliance with codes and project specs.

Strong communication and leadership are essential. Responsibilities include coordinating with designers, contractors, and client reps, tracking quality KPIs, and supporting testing, commissioning, and handover activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in mechanical/electrical/building services engineering or related discipline.
• 8–10 years of QA/QC experience in industrial, semiconductor, data centre, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, life sciences, or mission-critical facilities focused on MEP systems.
• Strong knowledge of MEP installation standards, testing and commissioning processes, quality management systems, and applicable international codes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan for MEP works (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, ELV, and associated systems).
• Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, quality procedures, material submittals, and shop drawings related to MEP disciplines.
• Lead site quality inspections, audits, and surveillance activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor quality performance, driving corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), quality observations, root cause analyses, and close-out processes.
• Review testing and commissioning records, material certifications, FAT, SAT, and inspection documentation.
• Coordinate closely with designers, consultants, contractors, vendors, commissioning teams, and client representatives on quality-related matters.
• Ensure all MEP installations comply with project requirements, approved drawings, local regulations, and industry best practices.
• Track quality KPIs, trends, and metrics, and prepare regular quality reports for project stakeholders.
• Support commissioning, systems integration, punch list management, defect resolution, and final project handover documentation.

• Strong knowledge of MEP installation standards, testing and commissioning processes, quality management systems, and applicable international codes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
