Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a highly experienced QA/QC professional for Electrical works in KL/Selangor. The role focuses on developing and implementing project quality plans, reviewing ITPs, and ensuring electrical systems meet rigorous standards across substations, switchgear, UPS, lighting and ELV.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years in QA/QC on large-scale construction, with exposure to industrial, data center, pharmaceutical or life sciences

Qualifications

• Must have QA/QC mindset for electrical works.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, testing and commissioning processes.
• Experience with quality management systems and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Project Quality Management Plan for electrical works.
• Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, quality procedures, and testing protocols.
• Monitor the quality of electrical installation works including power distribution, substations, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, lighting, grounding, and ELV systems.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and surveillance to verify compliance with project specs and standards.
• Review material submittals, shop drawings, FAT/SAT reports, and test documentation.
• Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective/preventive actions, and quality close-out activities.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, commissioning teams, and client representatives on quality matters.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards and applicable electrical codes.
• Track quality KPIs and prepare regular quality reports for stakeholders.
• Support testing, commissioning, punch list closure, and final handover activities.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical QA/QC within large-scale construction projects.
• Experience in Industrial, Semiconductor, Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, or Mission-Critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, testing and commissioning processes, and quality management systems.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
