Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Johor invites an experienced MEP Manager to oversee the design, coordination, installation and commissioning of MEP systems for a new data centre project in Malaysia.

You will lead HVAC, electrical distribution, UPS, generators and fire protection, coordinate with consultants and contractors, review drawings and ensure on-time delivery within budget while meeting quality and safety standards for mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP engineering or project management.
• Experience in data centre or mission-critical industry.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, UPS, generators, and fire protection systems.
• Familiarity with commissioning processes and integrated systems testing for data centres.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee MEP systems including HVAC, power distribution, UPS, generators, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
• Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure proper integration of MEP systems.
• Review and validate MEP design drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
• Monitor project progress and ensure MEP works are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
• Lead testing and commissioning activities, including integrated systems testing for mission-critical systems.
• Ensure compliance with data centre standards, safety regulations, and local codes.
• Manage issue resolution, technical queries, and site coordination related to MEP works.

Job Description Summary We are hiring this role for an upcoming Data Centre Project in Malaysia. The MEP Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, coordination, installation, and commissioning of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for data centre projects.
