Roles & Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of MEP systems, ensuring compliance with project standards and regulations. Review the MEP construction drawings submitted by MEP vendors prior to building submission approval. Liaise with local authorities for approvals and inspections related to MEP works.
- Construction Coordination: Work closely with MEP vendors and the interior design team to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with fit-out works.
- Technical Support: Troubleshoot on-site technical issues, optimize MEP solutions, and provide professional guidance to clients.
- Quality & Safety Management: Supervise MEP construction quality, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Progress Control: Monitor project schedules to ensure on-time completion based on the master schedule.
- Cost Control: Monitor project costs to ensure on-budget completion. Provide technical support and guidance during tendering, cost estimation, and value engineering.
- Testing & Handover: Organize MEP system testing, commissioning, and handover, ensuring stable operation and client satisfaction.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical reports (e.g., T&C Report, MEP Dilapidation Report), compile and verify MEP O&M manuals, and update the Project Manager-in-charge on work progress.
Requirements
- Diploma or above in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP engineering, preferably in interior fit-out projects.
- Proficient in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection systems, and IT Server / Hub Room set-up with relevant standards.
- Working knowledge in Audio Visual setup is an advantage for providing AV solutions for clients' boardrooms, meeting rooms, and townhall setups.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to collaborate effectively with different teams, including inter-departmental communication and working with MEP vendors.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, MEP, etc.) and relevant tools.
- Ability to speak Mandarin to support Mandarin-speaking clients/prospects setting up offices in KL.
