About the role

As an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer at China Communications Construction Company (M) Sdn Bhd, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for construction projects in Kuching, Sarawak. This full-time position is crucial in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the building's infrastructure.

What you'll be doing

Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop and implement MEP systems that meet project requirements and adhere to local building codes and regulations

Conduct site inspections and monitor the installation of MEP systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions in the MEP systems, and coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure optimal performance

Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports related to MEP systems

Analyse system performance data and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and sustainability

Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams, ensuring the successful execution of MEP-related tasks

Collaborate with the project management team to ensure the timely completion of MEP-related project milestones

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, or a related field

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in building construction projects

Proficiency in Chinese communication preferred

Familiar with construction processes and management procedures of MEP systems (water, electricity, HVAC)

Experience with large-scale building or commercial projects preferred
