Job summary

Linesight is a global project and cost management consultancy seeking a Cost Manager/QS to join our diverse, collaborative team in Malaysia. You will manage costs across varied projects, draft and review contracts, and support tender processes to ensure competitive, value-driven outcomes.

You will oversee valuations, cost reports, and settlements while maintaining clear client communications. A degree in cost management or related field is preferred, with willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in pre- and post-contract cost management on varied projects.
• Degree or comparable experience in cost management, contract law, or construction discipline.
• Thrives in a dynamic environment with ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Willingness to travel for short periods to meet clients, partners and team.
• Ability to build strong relationships with team and clients through openness.

Responsibilities

• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments and support contracts/variations.
• Support project management with clear cost documentation and timely communication.
• Participate in tender/bid process from documentation through analysis and reporting.
• Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports and communicate variations.
• Support settlement of disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.
• Resolve commercial, change orders and contract issues quickly and fairly.
• Assist in preparation and agreement of final accounts including claims handling for client value.
