Job summary

A leading real estate development firm in Malaysia is seeking a MEP Cost Manager. The role involves cost management responsibilities, such as reviewing target costs and analyzing cost changes across projects. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and experience in cost management, preferably in large-scale commercial or tourism projects. Fluency in English is required.

  • Must be able to work independently in an English-speaking environment.
  • Prior experience in cost management for a real estate group is preferred.
  • Experience managing large-scale commercial or tourism & entertainment projects is a plus.

Job description

Position: MEP Cost Manager

I. Cost Management Responsibilities

Responsible for reviewing the target cost (MEP scope) of each project and submitting it for group-level approval.

Responsible for tracking and analyzing dynamic cost changes across projects, issuing early warnings for cost overruns or tight budgets, and collecting monthly dynamic cost reports from each project for group-level review and feedback.

Responsible for maintaining and updating the cost database.

Responsible for reviewing all cost changes and collecting change logs from each project, issuing warnings for any undocumented changes. Also responsible for collecting all monthly variation and payment documents for group-level review.

Responsible for maintaining and updating the negative case database.

Responsible for reviewing final account settlements for each project.

II. Other Responsibilities

Participate in the performance evaluation of contractors and suppliers.

Conduct cost management assessments across projects.

Organize, maintain, and archive regional cost and contract documents.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree or above; must be able to work independently in an English-speaking environment.

Prior experience in cost management for a real estate group is preferred.

Experience managing large-scale commercial or tourism & entertainment projects is a plus.

Experience in overseas real estate cost-related projects is a strong advantage.
