Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Medical Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role will focus on promoting and selling cutting-edge surgical equipment to hospitals and healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for healthcare, a strong sales background, and a deep understanding of the medical device industry. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building relationships with healthcare professionals, driving sales growth, and ensuring exceptional service for our hospital clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Sales & Business Development: Actively identify, target, and pursue new sales opportunities within hospital systems, surgical departments, and medical facilities.
  2. Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's surgical equipment and provide consultations to healthcare professionals on the best solutions for their needs.
  3. Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with hospital purchasing departments, surgeons, OR teams, and clinical staff.
  4. Sales Presentations & Demonstrations: Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and trials of surgical equipment for healthcare providers, highlighting product features, benefits, and value.
  5. Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor products, pricing strategies, and industry trends to ensure a competitive edge in the marketplace.
  6. Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client communications, and opportunities. Provide regular sales planning and progress updates to the sales manager.
  7. Training & Support: Educate clients and medical staff on the proper use and maintenance of surgical equipment, ensuring they have the support needed for successful implementation.
  8. Customer Service: Serve as a trusted resource to resolve any product-related issues or concerns, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field (preferred). Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  2. Proven experience (added advantage) in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical devices sales or a related healthcare sales field, with a focus on surgical equipment or hospital solutions.
  3. Strong knowledge (added advantage) of the healthcare and medical device industry, including regulatory requirements, hospital purchasing processes, and key decision-makers.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with healthcare professionals.
  5. Ability to present complex technical information clearly and effectively to both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
  6. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  7. Willingness to travel to hospital sites and attend cases and medical conferences as required.
  8. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regional travel.
Preferred Skills:
  1. Experience (added advantage) selling surgical instruments, medical devices, or capital equipment.
  2. Established relationships within the hospital or surgical sector.
  3. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat PDF editor.
  4. Clinical knowledge or background in healthcare.
