Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Medical Officer to join our healthcare team in Cyberjaya. The role requires strong General Practice knowledge and the ability to perform circumcision procedures and basic ultrasound.

You will provide primary care, diagnose and manage conditions, document records, educate patients, and collaborate with clinic staff. MMC‑registered doctors with APC and 2–5 years GP experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or MMC-recognised qualification.
• Valid APC and registered with MMC.
• 2–5 years of GP experience.
• Circumcision experience and basic ultrasound is desirable.
• Good communication and ability to work independently.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary healthcare and medical consultations.
• Diagnose, treat and manage acute and chronic conditions per clinical guidelines.
• Perform minor surgical procedures, wound care, and outpatient treatments.
• Independently perform circumcision procedures.
• Utilise basic ultrasound skills to assist assessment and diagnosis.
• Prescribe medications and order investigations as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and preventive care.
• Ensure compliance with clinic policies and standards.
• Collaborate with clinic staff for efficient care delivery.
• Participate in health screening programs and campaigns as required.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services and medical consultations to patients.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in accordance with established clinical guidelines.
• Perform minor surgical procedures, wound care, and other outpatient treatments.
• Independently perform circumcision procedures.
• Utilize basic ultrasound skills to assist in patient assessment and diagnosis.
• Prescribe medications and order relevant investigations when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records and clinical documentation.
• Educate patients regarding treatment plans, preventive healthcare, and follow-up care.
• Ensure compliance with clinic policies, healthcare regulations, and professional standards.
• Collaborate effectively with clinic staff to ensure efficient patient care and service delivery.
• Participate in health screening programs, medical campaigns, and other clinic initiatives as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), or equivalent medical qualification recognized by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
• Valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) and registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a General Practice (GP) setting.
• Candidates with an Orthopaedic, Surgical, or Emergency Medicine background will have an added advantage.
• Experience in performing circumcision procedures independently.
• Basic ultrasound skills are required.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making abilities.
