1. Perform clinical roles such as medical examinations, pre-insurance & OSHA medical screening.

  • Performs medical assessment and conduct systematic screening for patients requiring routine pre-employment medical examinations, periodic/ annual medical examinations, pre-university medical examinations, and insurance related medical examinations.
  • Performs medical assessment for patients for vaccination, referral services, promotional programs, and any other screening related programs as required by the management.
  • Provide support for the ER doctors in the Emergency Room and clinics if required.
  • Support the Health Screening Centre activities in the development and management of Health Screening Packages; Occupational Health Screening Programs and any others that promote wellness program.
  • Ensure timely completion of all medical reports with an analysis of the results and recommendations.
  • Provide feedback and support to the Health Screening Manager in reviewing screening practices, protocols and procedures, and work-flow for process and quality improvement.
  • Supports the attainment of quality and department KPI.
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of all medical reports.
  • Provide reports/ scorecard on a regularly determined basis.

3. Manage of all aspects of the corporate health programs

  • Review screening practices, protocols and procedures
  • Assure compliance to the agreed programs and follow-up
  • Track and analyses trends, and recommend improvement strategies

4. Work closely with the Corporate Marketing team in development of screening packages specific to client's industry.

  • Conduct Health talks on relevant topics to the client at their premises, as part of a comprehensive Health Education and Training program.
  • Assist the Marketing Department in promoting and marketing the various Health Screening packages. Assist in pre-sale and program implementation.
  • Provide medical assessment in support of marketing initiatives for SJMC.

5. Assist department in training and upgrading the staff knowledge in the field of medical knowledge and best practices in the industry of related services.

6. Keep abreast of the advancement of practices, protocols and procedures in line with the job, maintain continuous Medical Education program, and membership in professional bodies.

Requirements
  • Posses Medical Degree from a University recognized by the Malaysian Medical Council.
  • A post graduate qualification in Occupational Health that is registered with DOSH will be an added advantage.
  • At least 5 years of working experience as a Medical Officer in a hospital
  • Good communication (3 languages is advantage) and problem- solving skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of costing, budgeting and analytics
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, ADA and FMLA regulations; and DOSH requirements with experience in Occupational Health preferred.
  • Understanding of workers compensation case management and regulations
