Overview

I-Call International is looking to hire more Mandarin Interpreters to work remotely. As a Mandarin consecutive medical interpreter, your primary responsibility is to facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients who speak Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Interpretation: Accurately interpreting medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, and other information between Mandarin-speaking patients and healthcare providers, including doctors, nurses, and other medical staff.
• Cultural mediation: Provide cultural mediation to help patients understand the healthcare system and how to navigate it effectively, and help healthcare providers understand cultural differences that may affect patient care.
• Confidentiality: Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in the interpretation profession.
• Documentation: Document interpretation services provided, including date, time, duration, and type of interpretation.
• Professional development: Keep up-to-date with the latest medical terminology and healthcare practices to ensure accurate interpretation.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Mandarin and English
• Experience in interpretation or translation
• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with the healthcare system
• Good communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work well under pressure
