Job summary

Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad wishes to appoint a Mechanical Technician in Johor. The role focuses on maintenance and repair of valves, pumps, mixers, reactors and vessels, with scheduled SAP preventive maintenance and plant modification work.

Applicants should have SPM or a certificate in mechanical engineering, at least 1 year of mechanical maintenance experience, and knowledge of plant maintenance, cost control, SAP Maintenance Module, SHE and ISO compliance.

Qualifications

• SPM or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in process industry.
• Knowledge of plant maintenance, cost control, SAP Maintenance Module, SHE, ISO compliance and documentation.
• Strong communication, leadership, decision-making and execution skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of valves, pumps, mixers, reactors and vessels.
• Execute scheduled SAP preventive maintenance activities.
• Perform plant modification and installation works.
• Monitor critical rotating and static equipment.
• Support plant shutdown maintenance activities.
• Standby duty during holidays, rest days and non-office hours when required.
• Support spare parts availability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Respond to emergency call-ins and chemical emergency team activities.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards.
