Job Description

Requirement: SPM/SKM/SV

Job Purpose

To do maintenance works to ensure machines and equipment (company’s assets) especially those related to mechanical are safe, working efficiently, and fit for its purpose.

Operational Excellence

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and checklists of machines, equipment, and structures.
• Execute preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and structures as scheduled.
• Complete maintenance tasks and requests as required.
• Undertake repairs and servicing to the highest standard by work requests and pre-determined specifications, on time, and with minimal wastage.
• Fault finding, testing, and the removal or adjustment of existing fittings, fixtures, and parts.
• Where a detailed specification is not provided determine the cause of the fault and then undertake the most cost-effective solution to remedy the defect.
• Assist superior in listing down mechanical works for daily routine jobs and annual plant shutdowns. This includes managing contractors for jobs that require external expertise.
• Responsible for immediate action in any mechanical and machinery breakdown.
• To work closely with Production Department for continuous improvement of machinery and equipment.
• To ensure all procedures are by ISO documentation.
• Follow safe operating procedures and notify any hazardous/unsafe conditions which could cause accidents and production lost time.

Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to provide support to all the departments within FGV Fertiliser Sdn. Bhd.
• Effective Communication – keeping Management and relevant parties aware and seeking advice and assistance when required.

Undertake any other duties and responsibilities when assigned/requested/instructed by the Head of Department / Management.
