Job summary

A leading company in Selangor is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to oversee maintenance activities and manage personnel within the production department. The role includes ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting performance analysis, and facilitating training programs. Candidates should possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have at least 5 years of relevant industry experience to be effective in this position.

Job description

• Responsible for the overall maintenance scheduled activities for the production machinery.
• Responsible for any breakdown maintenance and allocation of resources to rectify issues.
• Responsible for the monitoring and analyzing of equipment and maintenance performance. Provide weekly & monthly reports to superior.
• Ensure production & equipment Safety, Health and Environment standards are complied with DOSH and DOE requirements.
• Lead, supervise & motivate subordinates to ensure attendance, performance and commitment are met.
• Responsible for the problem solving, root cause analysis and prevention recommendation for any downtime and process malfunction.
• To liaise with Purchasing/ Production Planning, HR & Administration and relevant department to ensure production, rejection rate & machine downtime goals are achieved.
• Responsible for the identification and execution of the training needs analysis (TNA) for subordinates.
• To liaise with engineering section for any improvement machine, new equipment, new materials & modification.
• Responsible to lead & manage All ISO documentation & activities.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineer or relevant education qualification
• Possessed with 5 years or more experiences in similar industry
• Good Interpersonal and People Management Skills
• Build strong relationships and relates well with others to drive results.
• Writes and speaks clearly, concisely with confidence. Show ability to actively listen and seeks to understand the viewpoints of others.
• Good hygiene practice to ensure personal hygiene, workplace hygiene & product hygiene is in place
• Project Management skill, computer literacy with (Microsoft Office, Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
