Mechanical Engineer (Technical Assistant to COO)

Work Location and main responsibilities:

Primarily based in PJ, supporting the company's projects in mining and quarry plants, including machine selection, installation design, and procurement support for machine parts.

Travel to sites may be required to lead installations, troubleshoot issues, or coordinate between site personnel and suppliers.

Reports to the Chief Operations Officer.

Education background:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates proficient in Mandarin will be given priority for effective communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Skillsets:

Excellent communication skills (written and spoken), critical thinking, especially in project design, machine installation, operation, maintenance, and problem-solving.

Creative and positive attitude towards plant design projects.

Investigative mindset with strong execution skills to support troubleshooting at sites.

Proficient in 2D AutoCAD for mechanical design and assembly of plants and machinery.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Experience with installation, operation, maintenance, or troubleshooting of quarry, mining, or bulk material handling equipment such as conveyor belts, electric motors, drives, gearboxes, pumps, screens, crushers, and mills is highly valued.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience related to quarry or mining plant design, machine design, plant maintenance, or new plant construction projects.
