Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a junior mechanical engineer to support design, documentation, installation, testing and maintenance activities.

Fresh graduates may work under the guidance of senior engineers while developing practical engineering experience, with opportunities to contribute to drawings, calculations, equipment selection, and project records. Coordinate with project, procurement and site teams, monitor installation, and assist with inspections and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and review of mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Carry out engineering calculations under the appropriate level of supervision.
• Support the selection of mechanical equipment, materials, and components.
• Prepare material lists and assist with technical evaluations of supplier submissions.
• Coordinate with project, procurement, and site teams on engineering requirements.
• Monitor installation work to check alignment with approved drawings and specifications.
• Assist with equipment inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Help investigate mechanical problems and recommend solutions for review.
• Support maintenance planning and equipment performance monitoring where required.
• Prepare progress updates, technical reports, and project documentation.
• Update drawings and records to reflect approved changes and completed installations.
• Follow company quality procedures and applicable site safety requirements.
