Job description

Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products.

Develop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs.

Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration.

Perform engineering calculations to support design work.

Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors.

Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process.

Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget.

Collaborate with sales/marketing about market trend and design requirement.

Collaborate with production about product assembly process, ensuring product design is user-friendly, easy to assemble, and cost-effective.

Collaborate on material pricing, specifications, and availability.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical), or equivalent.

Excellent math skills: ability to apply advanced mathematical principles and statistics to solve problems (weight, costing, dimensions).

Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.

Must be able to read and write in Mandarin (for internal communication and document handling).

Fluent in Mandarin, Malay, and English (spoken & written).

Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability.

Self-motivated, team-oriented, responsible individuals who are focused on exceeding client expectations, balancing multiple priorities.

Any other relevant task assigned from time-to-time.
