Job summary

PEC SE ASIA SDN BHD in Penang invites a Master’s–level Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team building cutting-edge battery production equipment. You will own mechanical design from concept through installation and work with a global cross-functional team.

The role emphasizes manufacturing-friendly design, material selection, and close interaction with customers and suppliers. Proficiency in Inventor or AutoCAD is required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong communication skills and fluent English.
• Experience with Design For Manufacturing and Design For Assembly.
• Familiarity with automation, pneumatics, injection moulding, and electricity a plus.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for battery testing equipment and production lines.
• Take projects from concept through installation and delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, electronics, and automation.
• Suggest materials and components to meet functionality and manufacturability.
• Support customers and suppliers with technical input.
