Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Versatile Creation Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia) is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to drive product development by conceiving, analyzing and developing new design concepts for gas filter and purification applications.

You will coordinate with R&D and Manufacturing to transition prototypes to production and ensure manufacturing readiness. The role requires hands-on CAD modeling, material specification, vendor reviews, and close collaboration with operation teams to release products

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline along with knowledge in structural design, mechanical design, mechanical systems and material properties.
• 3 - 5 years of hands-on product design experience.
• Motivated and self-directed team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Must have ability to reach out, communicate and influence personnel at all levels within the organization.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and technical writing skills.
• Ability to model components on CAD systems, create drawings and components specifications that meet design objectives and are manufacturable.
• Excellent overall computer and software skills/knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Basic knowledge of creating structural fabrication drawings, designing sheet metal parts, and generating wall elevations and plan view drawings in 2D.
• Extensive knowledge of CAD software (preferable AutoCAD and SolidWorks) and other drafting tools.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma philosophies advantageous.
• Experienced in performing design FMEA and process FMEA advantageous.
• Ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Clear awareness of safety and quality topics, familiar with related ISO regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).Materials and Metallurgy (material selection, heat treat & finishing).

About the job Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary:

Responsible for driving the product development efforts of the engineering teams by conceiving, analyzing and developing new design concepts for and coordinating the process with R&D and Manufacturing Departments for company's Gas Filter and Purification group. Familiar and comfortable with machining, high purity semiconductor environments and able to easily learn and understand newer technologies. Design and layout product formats to satisfy the requirements and support improvement initiatives of existing and new products. Work with domestic and international company resources and vendors to move designs from prototype to production. Will work closely with the operation team to ensure Manufacturing Readiness of the new products and their processes. Will engage with the Manufacturing Engineers, R&D Engineers, Production Supervisors, and operators to drive the successful transition of products from early development to product release.
