Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and support engineering tasks from concept to mass production.
• Develop mechanical solutions, prepare cost estimates, manage documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Identify technical, cost, or regulatory constraints affecting design feasibility.
• Plan and prioritize tasks based on risk, resolution, maturity, and interdependencies.
• Monitor progress and proactively address issues.
• Conduct tolerance analysis to assess variability impacts.
• Perform risk assessments and use risk management tools.
• Create detailed design specifications, including BOMs, 3D models, CAD drawings, and technical specs.

Job Qualifications:

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Materials Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of product design experience, especially in consumer, robotic, or regulated products.
• Strong knowledge of mechanisms, plastics, material selection, die-casting, extrusions, elastomers.
• Proficiency in CAD software (UG NX, ZW3D, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Ability to model components, create drawings, and specifications for manufacturability.
• Team collaboration and influence skills.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, and ISO regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
