PEC is an international technology supplier, committed to enable the production of green batteries for a Blue Planet. We are looking for an Electromechanical Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is based in our new site in Penang, Malaysia. By joining us, you will contribute to building the first large scale battery factories in Asia, Europe and the United States

Your tasks

As a mechanical design engineer at PEC, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies for battery testing equipment and production lines. You will be:

  • Part of a global cross functional team with mechanical, software, electronic and automation engineers.
  • Reporting to the Mechanical Design lead.
  • Responsible for the mechanical design of your assigned projects, from initial concept and pre-design to installation and the successful delivery of the machine.
  • Encouraged to introduce new concepts and approaches to the design of new machines.
  • Recommending materials and components based on required functionalities.

The ideal candidate

  • Holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Is highly engaged in project outcomes and eager to contribute at every stage of the process.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and suppliers.
  • Has excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Is familiar with Design For Manufacturing and Design For Assembly principles.
  • Experience in automation, pneumatics, injection moulding and electricity is a plus.
  • Has proficiency in one or more of the following tools:

Autodesk Inventor

AutoCAD

Solid works
