Job summary

Bateriku is seeking an automotive technician to perform diagnostics, inspections, and routine servicing on a range of vehicles. The role focuses on accurate fault finding, timely maintenance, and high standards of workshop hygiene.

The ideal candidate will have SKM in Automotive, at least 1 year of experience, and strong communication skills to report findings and updates to Service Advisors. You will work under supervision, contributing to continuous workshop improvements.

Qualifications

• Must have a SKM in Automotive or related field.
• Experience with vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures is required.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to follow SOPs and maintain 5S practices in the workshop.
• Comfortable working with workshop tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using scan tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Conduct full vehicle inspections across all systems and components.
• Carry out routine servicing including oil changes and filter replacements.
• Repair and replace vehicle parts, including major engine work when needed.
• Communicate inspection results and repair updates clearly to Service Advisors.

Perform vehicle diagnostics using scan tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues.

Conduct full vehicle inspections across all systems and components.

Carry out routine servicing including oil changes, filter replacements, and general maintenance.

Repair and replace vehicle parts, including major works such as top and full engine overhauls.

Communicate inspection results and repair updates clearly to Service Advisors.

Ensure proper use, maintenance, and organization of workshop tools and equipment.

Follow SOPs, safety regulations, and 5S practices (cleanliness, organization, waste management).

Record all repair and service details in the system (e.g., WEBMAX) accurately.

Support continuous improvement in technical skills, processes, and workshop efficiency.

Requirements

Minimum SKM in Automotive or any related field.

Minimum 1 year of experience as a technician / Foreman.

Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures.

Ability to perform both minor and major automotive repairs.

Knowledge of workshop tools, equipment care, and 5S practices.

Good communication and reporting skills.

Action-oriented, fast learner, and able to work efficiently under minimal supervision.

Strong integrity, work ethics, and teamwork mindset.
