Job summary

SP Logistics Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Lorry Foreman to supervise daily workshop activities at our Port Klang site. You will oversee lorry inspections, maintenance, and repairs, and guide mechanics to deliver quality work on time.

You should have 3–5 years in heavy vehicle maintenance, strong knowledge of diesel engines and braking systems, and a valid Driving Licence (Class D). GDL licence is a plus. Join a team committed to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in lorry or heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Experience as a lorry foreman or workshop foreman preferred.
• Valid Driving Licence (Class D); GDL licence is an added advantage.
• Ability to lead and supervise workshop teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily workshop activities for lorry inspection, maintenance, and repairs.
• Check, identify, and solve mechanical, electrical, engine, and other lorry problems.
• Assign jobs to mechanics and monitor progress to ensure repairs are completed properly and on time.
• Carry out regular lorry inspections and maintenance, including engine service, brake system, suspension, gearbox, steering, tyres, and other parts.
• Ensure all repair works follow company procedures, safety rules, and required standards.
• Perform final checks on lorries before handing them back for operation.
• Monitor repair progress and ensure vehicles are completed within the expected time.
• Prepare and maintain service records, repair reports, and maintenance documents.
• Check spare parts usage and request required parts from the store or supplier.
• Ensure workshop tools, equipment, and machines are properly maintained and safely used.
• Guide, train, and support mechanics to improve work quality and skills.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment at all times.

• SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Automotive Technology, Heavy Vehicle Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in lorry or heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Experience as a Lorry Foreman, Workshop Foreman, or Senior Mechanic is preferred.
• Good knowledge of diesel engines, gearbox, brake systems, suspension, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vehicle electrical systems.
• Experience in leading and supervising mechanics or workshop teams.
• Able to understand and follow technical manuals, service records, and repair reports.
• Possess a valid Driving Licence (Class D); GDL licence is an added advantage.
