Job description

Summary

Provide equipment and process support, including machine maintenance, for printed circuit assembly lines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Maintain and develop machine programs, part definition (PD) files, and machine set-ups.
2. Optimize machine programs and set-ups to meet or exceed the theoretical product run-rate.
3. Monitor machine and line performance to achieve optimum efficiency and product quality.
4. Analyze machine and process performance using CIQ, TARS, ICT Diagnostic defect analysis sheets, feeder data, and other sources.
5. Maintain and repair all SMT equipment on assigned lines.
6. Perform necessary machine repairs and out-of-cycle maintenance.
7. Conduct preventative maintenance on SMT equipment as required.
8. Diagnose non-SMT equipment issues, perform repairs within skill level, and escalate complex issues to Industrial Techs.
9. Assist Machine Operators with ongoing training and support.
10. Support machine operation to improve changeover times, cover breaks, and enhance line efficiency.
11. Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and support managers to ensure maximum line performance.
12. Train Manufacturing Engineering Tech I employees.
13. Assist engineers in optimizing process parameters such as reflow, wave solder, and screen printing profiles.
14. Recommend tooling modifications and product design improvements for manufacturability.
15. Provide daily pass-down reports to project and manufacturing engineers.
16. Follow all safety, health, and security procedures.

Minimum Requirements

An associate’s degree is preferred; or at least two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
