Maths Teacher
Reports To: Campus Principal / Head of Secondary
Purpose of Role
To deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that enable students to achieve academic excellence and personal growth. The teacher is responsible for fostering an inclusive, safe, and engaging environment, in line with the Cambridge IGCSE framework and school-wide goals.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons that meet curriculum standards.
Use varied instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
Integrate relevant technology and digital tools to enhance learning.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom climate.
Curriculum & Planning
Deliver the subject curriculum for lower and upper secondary, including IGCSE.
Collaborate with team members to ensure cohesive planning and progression.
Share resources and best practices to promote consistency and quality across the department.
Student Support & Wellbeing
Monitor and support student progress through regular assessments and feedback.
Build strong relationships with students to support their overall development.
Provide mentorship or additional support as needed for student success.
Serve as a form tutor (if assigned), supporting pastoral care.
Assessment & Reporting
Conduct formative and summative assessments aligned with school guidelines.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance.
Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and parents.
Prepare academic reports and participate in parent-teacher meetings.
Professional Contribution
Participate in school events, meetings, professional development, and CPD sessions.
Support and contribute to co-curricular activities, school trips, and community events.
Uphold all school policies and contribute to a positive school culture.
Safeguarding, Health & Safety
Follow school safeguarding policies and child protection procedures.
Ensure classroom and activity safety at all times.
Conduct risk assessments when required and report concerns appropriately.
Person Specification:
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Education.
Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
Experience teaching secondary students, with exposure to IGCSE standards.
Strong understanding of subject content and effective teaching strategies.
Desirable Skills & Competencies:
Ability to engage and inspire students.
Effective classroom management skills.
Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
Organised, reflective, and proactive in professional duties.
