This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful team of Mathematics teachers at Garden International School on a short term maternity cover (6 months) which has the potential to lead to a full time contract in the academic year 2026/27.

We are looking for innovative, dynamic teachers with a growth mindset and high expectations. The successful candidate should have recent experience in teaching the content covered in the British curriculum, as well as being able to challenge and extend the students beyond the curriculum. The teaching allocation will focus on KS3 and KS4 Mathematics with opportunities in KS5 for the right candidate. The Mathematics faculty is large and vibrant with a culture of working collaboratively with high expectations.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Development

Engage with and work towards the whole school strategic focus areas for the year

Engage with and contribute towards the team goals in dedicated professional learning time

Teaching and Learning

Collaboratively plan lessons with a backwards by design approach with the end in mind.

Personalise learning in the classroom for all students

Analyse and triangulate student data

Assess using both summative and formative methods and use data tracking to monitor progress of students

Complete half termly reports to parents on progress and attainment as well as attitudinal competencies

Be involved in extracurricular activities such as competitions, activities, additional support sessions outside of school hours

COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

Build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues

Have a commitment to professional growth and be a reflective practitioner

MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION:

Appropriate degree and teaching qualification

RELATED EXPERIENCE

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience
