Job summary

Singapore MathLab Centre in Bandar Kinrara Selangor is seeking an enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join our tutoring team on a part-time basis. You will help students build strong foundations and a love for math, with flexible scheduling to suit other commitments.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma or degree in mathematics or an equivalent teaching qualification, with proven classroom experience and strong communication skills to explain concepts clearly.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mathematics or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching mathematics, preferably in a tutoring or educational centre environment.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum and teaching methodologies across various levels.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse learners and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources to enhance learning.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple students and lesson schedules.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to students of various age groups and ability levels.
• Develop and prepare customised lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs.
• Assess student progress and understanding through regular testing, assignments and observations.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and areas for improvement.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages active participation and problem-solving.
• Utilise interactive teaching methods and resources to make mathematics concepts accessible and enjoyable.
• Track student development and adjust teaching strategies to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and assessment results.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's academic journey and milestones.
• Collaborate with fellow tutors and centre management to maintain high standards of educational delivery.
