Role Responsibility

Responsible for global procurement and inventory management of high-technology or life sciences production materials, new product introduction (NPI) materials, obsolete parts, non-production materials, and services. Oversees supplier evaluation, selection, and management activities. Collaborates with R&D, Marketing, and Manufacturing to align supply chain strategies with product and technology plans. Develops strategic plans, manages third-party relationships, and implements programs to meet business objectives. May lead supply chain strategy development to optimize costs, inventory, supply assurance, and support for product development.

Supply Chain Management

Leads teams responsible for designing end-to-end supply chain solutions, including planning, logistics, financial flows, and business intelligence. Drives strategic initiatives for supply chain transformation and optimization to support business growth. Conducts benchmarking and manages integration programs for mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct procurement activities such as supplier quotations, contract negotiations, purchasing, risk management, performance evaluation, safety stock, inventory, and business continuity planning.
  • Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with organizational KPIs.
  • Assess and mitigate procurement risks.
  • Utilize data analysis to identify issues and improve processes.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts and project initiatives.
  • Manage and develop small teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, monitoring performance on cost, quality, delivery, and service levels.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers.
  • Leverage technology to enhance procurement functions and adapt to business transformations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Programming, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategic procurement, supply chain management, or contract management.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain fundamentals, planning, and inventory management systems.
  • Good judgment with decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities to manage small teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills with critical thinking ability.
  • Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Teamwork and independent work skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and macros; experience with Power BI, Power Apps, Python, R, SQL, or C+ is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
  • Ability to foster collaboration across departments to achieve shared goals.
