Job summary

Ascentec Engineering in Penang, Malaysia seeks a warehouse/materials handler to issue and deliver materials to production lines, maintain strict FIFO, and kit daily needs. You will receive and inspect inbound items, update material movements in the system, and perform cycle counts and audits to ensure traceability and accuracy.

The role requires meticulous records, proper labeling, 5S/EHS adherence, and safe operation of forklift equipment where licensed.

Qualifications

• FIFO discipline is required.
• Ability to manage and record inventory movements.
• Know-how of receiving, inspecting, and verifying inbound materials.

Responsibilities

• Issue and deliver materials to production lines according to the WO schedule.
• Ensure FIFO system is strictly followed for all materials.
• Prepare and kit materials for daily production.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials, components, and consumables.
• Update systems with accurate material movements.
• Conduct cycle counts and participate in daily/monthly/quarterly inventory audits.
• Report discrepancies, shortages, or potential stock-outs to Supervisor/Planner.
• Ensure all material records, labels, and traceability requirements.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly segregated storage areas.
• Handle materials with proper documentation such as GRN, batch/lot tracking, and CoC.
• Follow EHS, 5S, and safety procedures when handling materials, chemicals, or heavy loads.
• Operate pallet jacks, stackers, and forklifts (if licensed).
• Perform basic checks and preventive care on warehouse equipment.
