RESPONSIBILITIES
- Material Handling and Storage:
- Load, unload, and transport raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products within the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring safe and organized stacking.
- Assign and support the material use for production to supply raw material and consumable items.
- Inventory Management:
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by performing regular stock counts and updating inventory systems.
- Monitor stock levels and report any discrepancies or low inventory to the supervisor.
- Confirm the designated area to use for outbound warehouse to place the finished goods.
- Accountable for scanning completed pallet in the SAP system and recheck the materials items details.
- Support Production Operations:
- Supply production lines with raw materials as needed, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Remove finished products from the production area and prepare them for storage or shipment.
- Assist in packaging, labeling, and palletizing finished goods for dispatch.
- Issue and check the pallet condition for finished goods.
- Checking the wrapping film and wrapping conditions.
- Shipping and Receiving:
- Assist in receiving incoming shipments, verifying quantities and conditions against purchase orders.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and completing shipping documentation.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine checks on forklifts and other material handling equipment, reporting any maintenance needs or malfunctions.
- Ensure all equipment is used safely and according to company protocols.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.
- Adhere to company safety protocols and participate in regular safety training sessions.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve material handling processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to streamline workflows and improve overall productivity.
PROFILE
Education And Experience
- SPM or equivalent required; experience in material handling or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Certification in forklift operation is an advantage.
Skills
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to xx kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Accurate counting, labeling, and documentation of materials.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly address issues related to material shortages or delays.
- Safety-Conscious: Knowledge of safety practices and a commitment to following established safety protocols.
Other Requirements
- Ability to work in a shift-based environment, including nights and weekends as needed.
- This role involves working in an industrial environment with exposure to loud noises, dust, and heavy machinery.
- Material Handlers must be comfortable working in physically demanding conditions, handling heavy materials, and operating material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software is advantageous.
