Job summary

Mewah Global Business Shared Services Sdn Bhd is seeking an Executive, Material Planning to oversee procurement and planning of packaging materials and minor ingredients to sustain uninterrupted production. You will collaborate with suppliers, logistics, production, QA, and R&D to ensure material availability and compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 1 year of experience; fresh graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 1 year of working experience in a related field; fresh graduates welcome.
• Experience in Supply Chain, Material Planning, Procurement, or Manufacturing preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Good command of English.
• Strong mathematical and numerical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Purchase packaging materials and minor ingredients and ensure sufficient stock availability for production usage.
• Liaise with suppliers, logistics, production, and QA teams to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance of materials, avoiding production downtime.
• Assist the R&D team in sourcing and coordinating sample requirements for new packaging artwork preparation as requested by customers or headquarters.
• Ensure proper documentation and record management for the Material Planning Department, including Purchase Orders (PO), packaging material artwork, PIRF information, and related documents in both hardcopy and softcopy formats.
• Source and evaluate new suppliers for packaging materials and minor ingredients to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and supply continuity.
• Understand and manage the implications of import duties, permits, and SST on purchased goods.
• Assist in obtaining and maintaining updated documentation required for Food Safety and Halal certification compliance.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the superior or management from time to time.
