Job Overview:
The Material Planner is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate planning of materials required for operations by closely monitoring stock movements, coordinating with business units, and aligning replenishment activities. This role supports the overall supply chain efficiency and contributes to inventory optimization, cost control, and timely availability of materials.
Responsibilities include monitoring stock movements across Business Units, engaging with business owners to understand material requirements and consumption trends, and aligning replenishment quantities based on forecasts, historical usage, and current inventory levels.
Order management duties involve following up with Procurement and Suppliers on delivery schedules, and resolving any delays or discrepancies with inbound materials.
Reporting & Analysis duties include preparing weekly stock reports, compiling data for monthly stakeholder meetings, and supporting ad-hoc reporting needs.
Stakeholder communication involves maintaining strong coordination with internal departments and external vendors, identifying opportunities for inventory and process improvements.
