About the role

As a Material Planner at Inari Technology Sdn Bhd, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's manufacturing and logistics processes. This full-time position, based in Bayan Lepas Penang, will involve managing the procurement and inventory of materials essential to the company's operations.

What you'll be doing

Responsible for planning, purchasing and managing the company's inventory of raw materials, components and supplies

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to forecast material requirements and ensure timely delivery

Negotiate with suppliers, manage supplier relationships and oversee the procurement process to obtain the best possible terms

Monitor inventory levels, identify potential shortages and implement strategies to maintain optimal stock levels

Plan and manage material requirements based on production schedules.

Adjust material plans based on demand changes and production needs.

Work with procurement, production, and logistics teams for smooth operations.

Prepare reports on material usage, shortages, and inventory status.

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience in a material planning or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics industry

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions

Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively manage supplier relationships

Familiarity with inventory management systems and company ERP software

Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing priorities
