Material Controller

We are looking for a MATERIAL CONTROLLER to work in Malaysia for a Biorefinery project.

As a Material Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the efficient flow of materials required for the successful execution of the project.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all materials for the project.
2. Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
3. Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials.
4. Generate purchase orders, track deliveries, and coordinate with suppliers to resolve any issues.
5. Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate favorable terms.
6. Work closely with the quality control team to establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials.
7. Conduct inspections of materials to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
8. Anticipate material requirements and proactively address potential shortages or delays.
9. Coordinate the transportation and delivery of materials to the designated facilities.
10. Work with logistics partners to optimize transportation routes and reduce lead times.
11. Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely arrivals.
12. Maintain detailed records of material transactions, including receipts, shipments, and adjustments.
13. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.

Requirements

1. Proven experience in material control in greenfield refinery/biofuel projects from beginning to completion.
2. MUST be able to read, write, and communicate in English; Mandarin will be an added advantage.
3. MUST be currently working in Malaysia.
4. Able to start work within short notice preferred.
