Job summary

A green energy company is seeking a Material Controller for a Biorefinery project in Malaysia. The successful candidate will oversee the efficient flow of materials, maintain accurate records, conduct audits, and collaborate with suppliers. Candidates must have proven experience in material control, strong English communication skills, and preferably experience in greenfield refinery or biofuel projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in material control in greenfield refinery/biofuel projects.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English; Mandarin is a plus.
• Must be currently working in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for MATERIAL CONTROLLER to work in Malaysia for a Biorefinery project.

As a Material Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the efficient flow of materials required for the successful execution of the project.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up to date records of all materials for the project
• Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Collaborate with procurement team to ensure timely and cost effective sourcing of materials
• Generate purchase orders, track deliveries and coordinate with suppliers to resolve any issues
• Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate favorable terms
• Work closely with quality control team to establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials
• Conduct inspections of materials to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations
• Anticipate material requirements and proactively address potential shortages or delays
• Coordinate the transportation and delivery of materials to the designated facilities.
• Work with logistics partners to optimize transportation routes and reduce lead times
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely arrivals
• Maintain detailed records of material transactions, including receipts, shipments, and adjustment
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards and environmental requirements

Requirements

• Proven experiences in material control in the greenfield refinery / biofuel projects from beginning to completion of projects.
• MUST be able to read, write and communicate in English and Mandarin will be added advantage
• MUST be currently working in Malaysia.
• Able to start work within short notice preferred
