Job summary

Plexus Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a Procurement professional to execute materials and services in line with customer requirements across multiple sectors. The role focuses on expediting materials, building strong supplier relationships, and optimizing inventories to support production and NPIs.

Ideal candidates have a diploma or degree and at least two years in procurement or supply chain roles, with strong English communication and negotiation skills.

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any disciplinary or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' working experience in procurement, materials, or related supply chain roles.
• Good communication skills and proficient in English.
• Proactive problem solving, follow up and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials and services per Plexus SOPs and customer contracts to support requirements.
• Expedite materials to fulfill production requirements, customer upsides, NPIs and transitions.
• Maintain partnership with suppliers to ensure flawless support.
• Optimize inventory orders through effective solutions (shipping mode, consolidation).
• Minimize inventory while meeting production plans.
• Manage Excess & Obsolete materials per contract and SOP.
• Manage customer satisfaction and timely purchases to mitigate demand gyrations.
• Provide visibility on materials availability to DA and manage problematic lots.
• Drive and monitor MRP load vs revenue targets; update demand changes per contract.
• Review customer demands before ERP entry and release MRP for processing.
• Maintain work order schedules and release orders based on material/capacity with feedback from purchasing/planner.
• Communicate schedule changes with the customer team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure contingency plans for changes/crisis situations.

Job description

Responsible for the procurement execution of assigned goods and services in accordance with the quality, delivery and pricing expectations of customers for Industrial / Commercial / Communications / Healthcare / Life Sciences / Aerospace / Defense market sectors, as is detailed in Purchasing SOP's and WI's.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Procure materials and services per Plexus SOPs and customer's contract to support customer's requirement
• Expedite material to fulfill production requirements, customer upsides, NPIs and transitions
• Maintain good partnership with supplier to ensure flawless support
• Optimize inventory order through the most effective solutions (e.g.: shipping mode, consolidation etc.)

Inventory Control

• Minimize inventory while maintaining adequate material level to meet production plans
• Managing Excess & Obsolete materials per customer contract and SOP
• Managing Customer Satisfaction
• Timely placement and management of all purchases to mitigate demand gyrations
• Timely execution of excess and obsolescence mitigation per SOP and customer contract

Flawless Execution

• Provide visibility on materials availability to DA
• Managing problematic lot and MRB-Any task assigned by Management.

Demand Planning Execution

• Ensure all demand planning metrics are updated and maintained
• Review all customer demands prior to entry into ERP system and release MRP for processing
• Maintain the work order schedule and release work orders based on materials and capacity availability with feedback from purchasing and planner
• Communicate schedule changes with the customer team (e.g.: PM/FFM/planner etc.)

Demand Planning Control

• Drive and ensure MRP load vs. revenue commit targets/threshold is strictly adhered to
• Management of Customer Demand
• Analyze and timely update demand changes per customer contract
• Monitor work order schedule and update customer focus team of potential challenges in meeting customer demand
• Managing customer product change e.g.. ECN, product end of life on timely manner
• Work collaboratively with various functional teams to ensure contingency plans are in place to deal with changes/crisis situations-Any task assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any disciplinary or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 year's working experience in the related field such as those has working experience as Procurement Officer / Materials Buyer / Tactical Purchaser / Technical Buyer / Purchasing executive / Supply Chain executive.
• Good communication skills and proficient in English.
• Proactive problem solving, follow up and negotiation skills.
