We are currently seeking a Master Data Manager to lead and enhance master data operations with a focus on the Japan market, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business goals through effective team management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities :
  1. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Master Data specialists and analysts to align with business objectives and improve data management practices.
  2. Set clear performance expectations and guide team members to achieve their goals.
  3. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance team performance.
  4. Oversee the management and maintenance of all operational master data (Vendor, Customer, Material, Pricing, BOM, etc.), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across systems.
  5. Implement and enforce data governance policies and standards to ensure data quality and compliance.
  6. Collaborate with key business units to understand data requirements and provide support in data-related matters.
  7. Provide regular reporting on master data performance, highlighting data issues and proposing corrective actions.
  8. Conduct data analysis to support business decision-making and identify trends or anomalies.
  9. Develop and present data quality reports, offering insights to the Master Data Service Lead and leadership teams.
  10. Lead and coordinate master data-related projects, ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.
  11. Work with cross-functional teams to implement data-related improvements and optimizations.
  12. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in data management for ongoing projects and initiatives.
  13. Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders (IT, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain) and external vendors to ensure efficient data flow.
  14. Collaborate with key business users to resolve master data issues and ensure system alignment.
About You
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in master data management, handling large-scale data, with working experience in SAP data management systems and data governance tools.
  • Proficiency in Japanese, with a minimum qualification of JLPT N2, is required.
  • Experience in communicating and presenting to stakeholders based in Japan.
  • Proven team leadership and people management skills.
  • Knowledge in ORsoft, Coupa, Power BI, and other data management software is a plus.
