Marketing Lead – Brand, Content & Growth Strategy

Location: Malaysia (Remote or Hybrid)

About the Role

We seek a Marketing Lead in Malaysia to fully own our brand positioning, storytelling, content production, and digital presence. The right candidate will bring strategic thinking and practical execution to the role. You will be responsible for developing a marketing strategy that sets us apart in the IT and cybersecurity, positioning us with the polish, credibility, and aspiration of a premium global brand.

This is a hands-on role for someone who knows what works in modern marketing and is ready to lead confidently. You’ll need to shape the narrative, direct creative work, and work within constraints, including overseeing budgets and managing external contributors.

Key Responsibilities

Brand & Strategic Positioning

Lead a brand refresh that elevates our perception: credible, premium, trusted.

Define and maintain a consistent brand voice, visual identity, and messaging framework across all channels.

Position us distinctively — not just another tech company, but a differentiated, top-tier brand in IT and cybersecurity.

Content & Storytelling

Develop and own a scalable content strategy, using formats that support awareness, education, and conversion.

Craft and commission stories that communicate our value to both technical and business audiences.

Guide the tone and narrative of all external-facing communications — from blog posts to pitch decks.

Website, SEO & Digital Experience

Oversee the refresh or relaunch of our website with a focus on clarity, design, and conversion.

Develop a foundational SEO strategy based on high-intent content and clean technical structure.

Ensure all digital channels reflect the quality and credibility of our offering.

Marketing Execution & Operations

Build the marketing engine, selecting and managing the appropriate tools and platforms (e.g., CMS, CRM, email).

Occasionally, engage and manage external freelancers or agencies (writers, designers, developers) to deliver specific projects.

Maintain budget discipline — you’ll be responsible for cost control and output quality.

Leadership & Direction

Act as the owner of marketing — proposing direction, not waiting for it.

Stay current with marketing trends, content formats, and competitive movements, bringing modern thinking to the table.

Proactively identify opportunities for brand visibility, partnership, and growth.

Qualifications

Minimum 4–6 years of marketing experience, ideally within B2B, tech, or cybersecurity environments.

Demonstrated ability to lead brand or content transformations with limited resources.

Strong sense of design and editorial quality — capable of directing visual and written output even if not executing it directly.

Experience managing freelancers or small teams; confident overseeing budgets and deliverables.

Up-to-date understanding of digital channels, content marketing strategies, and brand development.

Excellent communication skills in English. Familiarity with Southeast Asian market nuances is a plus.

Based in Malaysia.

Fluent in English - Studied or worked abroad in an English-speaking country is an asset.
