Job description

Asia Pacific University College of Technology & Innovation – Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur

Plan, coordinate, and execute university events such as conferences, seminars, orientations, graduations, town halls, and other institutional activities.

Manage all event logistics for in-person, hybrid, and virtual formats, including venue arrangements, audio-visual setup, and vendor coordination.

Operate and manage OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) or similar platforms for live streaming and broadcasting, ensuring professional-quality audio and video output.

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure events align with the university’s objectives, branding, and culture.

Conduct pre-event technical rehearsals, assist speakers and presenters during sessions, and troubleshoot any real-time technical or production issues.

Maintain a centralised event calendar and comprehensive documentation of all internal events, campaigns, and technical requirements.

Support post-event evaluation, reporting, and media archiving for continuous improvement and institutional record-keeping.

Assist in marketing operations, including campaign coordination, content scheduling, digital engagement tracking, and cross-promotion of university events across various marketing channels.

Work with the marketing and communications teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all event collaterals, social media posts, and digital campaigns.

Provide administrative and logistical support for marketing initiatives such as photoshoots, media production, promotional activities, and student engagement programmes.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Event Management, Broadcasting, Management, or related disciplines.

Prior experience in event coordination or marketing operations is an added advantage, particularly with exposure to audio-visual setups or live production environments.

Proficiency in event management, live streaming, or digital marketing tools such as OBS, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Canva, or social media platforms.

Strong technical, organisational, and troubleshooting skills, particularly under live-event conditions.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across various stakeholders.

High attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
