Job summary

Sika Kimia Sdn. Bhd. is offering an 18-month Management Trainee Program in Marketing Communications in Malaysia. The program blends on‑the‑job training, formal learning, mentoring, coaching, and project-based assignments to develop future leaders.

As a Management Trainee you will rotate through a sponsoring department, gain regional exposure, and participate in cross-functional initiatives across the APAC region with mentorship from senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media Studies, Event Management, or related field.
• Fresh graduates or up to 2 years of relevant experience encouraged.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and project coordination capabilities.
• Event agency background will be an added advantage.
• Good analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Interest in branding, communications, digital marketing, and event management.
• Ability to work effectively with stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds across the APAC region.
• Willingness to travel regionally and relocate within the Asia Pacific region. Successful candidates should be open to undertaking a 2-3-year international assignment in any APAC country following completion of the 18-month Management Trainee Program, subject to business needs and performance.

Responsibilities

• Complete all learning milestones and development activities throughout the program.
• Participate actively in training programs, workshops, coaching sessions, and other learning opportunities.
• Learn and apply company policies, business processes, systems, and best practices.
• Support departmental operations and contribute to assigned projects and business initiatives.
• Conduct research, analyze information, and prepare reports, presentations, or recommendations where appropriate.
• Collaborate with colleagues across different functions to support business objectives.
• Demonstrate initiative, accountability, professionalism, and a continuous learning mindset.
• Build strong working relationships with mentors, managers, and stakeholders.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and health, safety, quality, and compliance standards.
• Successfully complete program assessments and performance reviews.
