A leading staffing company is seeking a Marketing & Communication Support professional to enhance their marketing initiatives within a higher education institution. This role involves branding, social media management, event support, and corporate communication tasks. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience in a related field and be prepared to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Position: Marketing & Communication Support
Contract Duration: 6-month contract (Renewable)
Working Days: 9.00 AM - 6.00 PM (40 Hrs/week) - Onsite
Salary: Monthly RM 5,500 - RM 6,500 (based on experience and skills)
Benefits: Statutory contributions, leave entitlement and medical insurance
Role Overview:
The Marketing Support will contribute to the strategic initiatives of the Marketing and Communications department within a higher education institution. This role is designed to be functionally broad, providing tactical and creative support across multiple streams including branding, social media, events, and digital asset management.
The individual will work closely with various team members across the department depending on project needs and will serve as a flexible support resource in areas such as:
Branding and visual storytelling
Point-of-contact (POC) for organic and paid social media campaigns with the institution’s social media agency and Branding Manager
Content development and asset management
Liaison with PR agency to enhance the institution's local and global presence
Internal traffic controller for Marcom coordination with internal and external stakeholders
Event support from ideation to execution
Job Scope:
Brand Management:
· Assist in implementing and maintaining the institution’s brand identity across channels
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure all marketing materials align with brand guidelines
· Contribute to the creation of visual content, such as graphics, videos, and marketing campaigns, to strengthen the institution’s visual identity
Organic Social Media Management:
· Serve as POC for engaging organic/paid social media strategies that align with the institution’s objectives
· Co-manage content calendars, ensuring timely and consistent updates on platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube with the social media agency
· Monitor, track, and update social media performance metrics and provide actionable insights to optimize reach and engagement
· Stay updated with trends and best practices to ensure continued innovation in digital storytelling
Digital Asset Management:
· Organize and maintain the institution’s digital asset library on the internal cloud system
· Ensure proper categorization, tagging, and accessibility for relevant stakeholders
· Oversee the regular update of digital assets and monitor access permissions for users
· Develop and enforce process protocols to safeguard intellectual property and visual assets
Event Management and Marketing Representation:
· Support the Marcom Director in event ideation, planning, and execution, ensuring brand alignment in all aspects
· Assist and support the team in curating compelling brand messaging for events to resonate with target audiences
· Manage the design, production, and distribution of promotional materials, including banners, brochures, and giveaways
· Develop and enforce branding protocols and guidelines during events to ensure consistency and professionalism
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize program visibility, engagement, and enrollment
Corporate Communication:
· Assist in drafting, reviewing, and disseminating internal and external communication materials, including newsletters, email campaigns, and official announcements
· Provide support for the development of corporate presentations and reports for leadership
· Ensure alignment of messaging across all communication touchpoints to reinforce the institution’s vision and mission
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen their publicity, storytelling, and brand alignment across all channels
Agency Coordination:
· Support the liaison between the institution and engaged PR, media agencies, and vendors
· Monitor deliverables of brand items, giveaways, press releases, media outreach, and event coverage
· Track media coverage, compile reports, and analyze PR and media campaign effectiveness
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, event production, or communications
· Without a degree: more than 5 years of experience in marketing and communications, public relations, and event management
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders with empathy, tact, and professionalism
· Able to stay calm under pressure and respond to situations with sound judgment
· Creativity and storytelling ability
· Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
· Agility and responsiveness to shifting priorities
· Solution-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude
· Able to work overtime for functions and events
