A global market research company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Market Research Executive to support the research team in data management and analysis. The ideal candidate has a degree in Statistics or a related field and strong analytical skills. Responsibilities include quality checking deliverables and working closely with internal teams to meet project deadlines. The function of this role is to provide support to the Ipsos Research team on the day-to-day responsibilities on
the relevant client account. These responsibilities could range from supporting continuous tracking data on the
full portfolio of products within the client business, to specific ad hoc shorter time frame projects. Working
closely with the Researchers, you will be involved with tasks and responsibilities that help ensure that the
project is both set up and running efficiently end to end, with a view to delivering against project specifications
and delighting the client. You’ll be joining a team who are passionate about improving processes and have a creative way of constantly challenging the status quo to find smarter ways of working.
Essential Responsibilities and deliverables
Complying with operational scope, and managing budgets, timeline and quality per the project requirements.
Support Research Teams with data management and data analysis
Support preparation of core deliverables using Research Team platforms, techniques and technologies e.g. PowerPoint / Excel / Online portal / etc.
Receive raw datasets from data processing and/or research teams (Excel / SPSS/ Survey Reporter/ InfoTools)
Check data sets for logical consistency prior to analysis
Manipulate data into correct format for analysis purposes using Excel or SPSS (weighting and processing as relevant)
Support analysis according to client's requirements or objectives
Quality checking key deliverables, ensuring they are delivered accurately and to the highest quality
Populate reports (PowerPoint) and writing commentary to draw out the key learnings and provide recommendations
Update other tools and platforms e.g. Data Portals based on questionnaire changes
Work alongside Research team in delivering bespoke and added-value analysis and insight
Prepare, plan, prioritise and communicate effectively to ensure deliverables are prepared and sent to schedule
Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and team members

Qualifications
Graduates or degree holders in Statistics, Applied Statistic, Mathematics, Economics or equivalent.
Fresh graduate / At least 1-2 year(s) working experiences and good application of knowledge
Understand and use statistical analysis
Excellent written and verbal communications
Able to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines
Proactive and self-initiating interest in matters pertaining to the industry
Team player

o Strong technical skills in data manipulation (e.g. using Excel) or software such as SPSS
