As a Market Access Manager at AstraZeneca, you will lead the market access strategy for your therapeutic area to enhance access to AstraZeneca brands, in accordance with local compliance, legal, and regulatory guidelines.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement Market Access plans to increase patient access.
  • Engage with healthcare authorities, payers, academia, and policy think tanks to develop long-term partnerships for sustainable healthcare and patient programs, building a positive platform for AstraZeneca and its brands.
  • Collaborate closely with medical affairs and commercial teams to align market access strategies with overall brand strategy.
  • Support the development of pricing strategies for reimbursement in both public and private sectors.
  • Generate health economic evidence to support brand value demonstration.
  • Translate clinical and economic evidence into compelling payer value stories.
  • Perform health technology assessments and analyses.
  • Work on contracting and managed entry agreements, including risk-sharing arrangements, capping, and discounting.
  • Engage with policymakers and other stakeholders to craft public policy that aligns with AstraZeneca’s strategic priorities and drives commercial success.
  • Work closely with the medical team to analyze clinical data post-launch to generate real-world evidence.

Essential qualifications for the role

  • A background in science, preferably with a degree, master's, or PhD from a top university, or qualified as a doctor.
  • 3-6 years of successful experience in market access or marketing.
  • Experience with access-related strategies such as pricing, reimbursement, patient advocacy, and public policy.
  • Deep understanding of developments in the national healthcare system and their impact on the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, often virtual and matrix teams.
