Job summary

Wilhelmsen Ship Management in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead IT and business transformation initiatives. You will manage scope, timelines, dependencies and stakeholder expectations while delivering high-quality solutions to enable BAU operations.

You will collaborate with business teams, IT and vendors, coordinate testing, UAT, training and go-live activities, and ensure sustainable improvements.

What You’ll Responsible For:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects from initial idea and scoping through implementation, stabilization and BAU handover.
• Define project objectives, scope, requirements, timelines, deliverables and success measures.
• Develop and manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and actions.
• Facilitate business requirements gathering and support process and solution design with operational teams, IT and vendors.
• Document and improve current and future‑state business processes.
• Coordinate stakeholders and provide clear updates on progress, risks, decisions and next steps.
• Manage project changes and assess their impact on scope, timelines, processes, users and operations.
• Coordinate testing, UAT, training, communications and go‑live readiness.
• Oversee post‑go‑live hyper‑care and ensure a structured transition into BAU support.
• Maintain project documentation, dashboards, status reporting and governance records.
• Capture lessons learned and identified opportunities for continuous improvement, digitalization and automation.
• Support wider initiatives across Marine Personnel, including digital systems, compliance, assurance, welfare and process improvement.

• Delivering projects successfully from initial scoping through go‑live and BAU handover.
• Ensuring solutions are implemented, stabilised and accepted by the business.
• Managing project plans, risks, issues, dependencies, changes and stakeholder expectations.
• Keeping sponsors and stakeholders informed with clear and accurate project updates.
• Ensuring operational readiness, documentation, training and support arrangements are in place.
• Driving collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement throughout delivery.

• Flexibility to travel occasionally when required.

The position will be based in Kuala Lumpur officelocatedat KLSentralwhich is a strategic work location with convenience travelling by Monorail, Rapid Kelana Jaya Line, MRT and KTM services as well as easy to get to go by public transportation.
